Question: If you flip a penny 100 times, how many times will you

see the president’s face or the building?

Before:  So children how to flip a coin.  Ask: Who here has ever flipped a

coin?  What do you think you will see more, the face or the

During:

Step 1:  Students will get into groups of 4.

The class will look at the chart and talk about the final product of flipping the coin.  We will compare each group to the entire class. We will make visual representations so that the students can see the part to the whole              N/total.
